POSITIVE TRENDS OF 2024

  1. Chaney Crabb of Entheos getting on a huge twitch streamer’s channel. She performed their song “An End To Everything” on Kai Cenat’s channel with an inspirational message at the end. Wholesome as fuck.
  2. Some amazing debut albums from bands that seem to come out of no where. A few examples being From Dying Suns, Vivid Dark, Coma Control

NEGATIVE TRENDS OF 2024

  1. As I Lay Dying. Come on, man.
  2. Pestilence, Patrick and AI. Don’t need to elaborate.

PREDICTIONS AND 2025 ANTICIPATED RELEASES

  1. Decapitated has new material with a new vocalist who sounded good live. Let’s go.
  2. Between the Buried and Me guitarist Paul Waggoner has said they are working on new material after all of the drama that came out this year with the band
  3. Killswitch Engage is finally giving us a new album(This Consequence) after almost six years
  4. Whitechapel!!!! Their first single and all of the teasers they have been showing sound like they are returning to their roots of a more brutal sounding deathcore
  5. The World is Quiet Here initially teased that they were going to release an EP with a follow up EP near the end of 2024 but that got delayed. Zon their album from 2023 is a great Prog album from the last five years
  6. Retromorphosis! Which is basically Spawn of Possession reformed.
  7. Eschaton
